Challenge:
As an extension for the Audi e-tron City App, Audi China wanted to give a deeper insight into the technical features of the interior of the new Audi e-tron A3. Therefore, innovation.rocks was hired to develop an Augmented Reality solution that would explain those details and round up the whole campaign.
Solution:
Based on that innovation.rocks came up with the Audi A3 e-tron Car Teacher, an AR application that recognizes a variety of buttons and areas inside the car via the camera view of one’s mobile device. Those can be discovered by simply pointing the camera to the dashboard, central console, gear lever or glove box. The app will then highlight the respective buttons or areas and provide several information about functionalities and possible setups. By this means, the car teacher offers an innovative and exciting way to explore a cars interior.
