The mission:
SunPlaza Shopping Mall in Bucharest wanted an Augmented Reality app that would transform the mall into an interactive experience. It should become a place that inspires and encourages customers to come back to shop again and again. At the same time, it should also enable a better understanding of the customers' wishes and needs.
The realization:
Together with the agency THISPLAY, we therefore developed an AR experience that, with the help of 85 beacons installed in stores, makes it possible to digitally extend the shopping experience via smartphone: While the app provides all the mall's news, a virtual treasure hunt guides customers through the entire mall. Visitors can get hold of discount codes or, thanks to the integrated indoor navigation, be guided directly to their favorite store.
The result:
Shopping 2.0 - that is the SunPlaza AR Shopping Mall App. As a mix of AR treasure hunt, navigation aid and news portal, a virtual application was developed that makes innovation tangible. The length of stay is increased, the shopping experience is more entertaining, and visitors enter stores they would otherwise have skipped. A real win-win situation for Mall and shopper!
