The mission:
It was an extraordinary application that global player Vodafone wanted to illustrate the benefits of mobile edge cloud computing in city life. Therefore, we designed an AR app that involved building a virtual 3D city.
The realization:
In order to make the unique Vodafone city a complete reality, we had it produced as a 3D print in the first step. If you now point your smartphone camera at the model, the city comes to life. The virtual 5G Train travels along the tracks and communicates all the advantages that the Edge Cloud brings with it. Users can even switch to the live view and take a virtual seat in the train's cockpit to experience the intelligent networking in an even more interactive way.
The result:
With or without 3D printing, the Vodafone Smart Train 5G app invites everyone to follow it into the city of the future. A completely fictitious place dominated by a train that transforms smart networking and all the benefits of the Vodafone Edge Cloud into a visual highlight.
As a virtual AR model, it can be placed in the real environment whenever needed and thus brought directly to the customers without high transport costs - and without any train delays!
